In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms of real media products?

For my A2 Media course I created a music video with a promotional package - two ancillary tasks: a digipak and a magazine advert. The project was to promote an unsigned artist; the artist I chose was a band called The 1984 of the Indie genre. I researched the Indie genre and its conventions in order to replicate these conventions to appeal to my target audience. During my research I found bands such as The Wombats and The Kooks who influenced my creative decision making; I am very satisfied with the outcome of my media product as it fits with the conventions of the genre well and offers a great promotion of the band through the creation of a brand identity.
